Dyson Hushjet™ Purifier Compact
Dyson has a new air purifier that completely scraps the company’s signature and instantly recognisable designs. Instead, it goes for a more unconventional look that the company says facilitates a jet engine-like airflow.
The highlight here is a new HushJet Nozzle technology that’s built to project focused streams of air at high velocity for faster, more powerful purification throughout a room. Let’s check out everything the HushJet Purifier Compact has on offer.
The whole idea is inspired by both jet engines and the concentrator nozzles you find on hairdryers. The sculptural shape creates a powerful jet of air that cleans a room more effectively. The cleverest part is that it manages this powerful performance without sounding like an airport runway.
That’s because Dyson engineered a unique star-shaped nozzle that reduces turbulence and dampens the sound waves coming from the compressor. For those sensitive to noise while sleeping, its night mode operates at a ridiculously quiet 24 decibels which is about as loud as a soft whisper.
Inside the bullet-shaped body is a new Electrostatic HEPA filter. Dyson claims it captures 99.97 per cent of tiny particles like pollen, dust, and pet dander down to 0.3 microns. The system is also fully sealed so all that nasty stuff stays trapped. The most significant upgrade, however, is the filter’s lifespan. Dyson promises it will last up to five years which is five times longer than its previous HEPA filters.
